About Lynne

Lynne qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2002. Trained in the UK, Lynne spent 8 years working in National Health Service (NHS), before moving to Australia in 2010, where she continued to work in private practice. In 2013, Lynne commenced her MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy through the University of Liverpool (UK), finally becoming qualified as an Animal Physiotherapist in 2015.

Lynne is the director of Horse & Rider Physiotherapy on the Sunshine Coast, treating both team members, as well as being a clinical tutor for MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy students. Lynne works closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team, including vets, farriers, saddle fitters, trainers and owners.

Lynne is highly skilled in manual and exercise therapy for post-surgical and injury rehabilitation. In addition, performance enhancement for both horse and rider is an essential element, ensuring that both parties in the combination are working at their peak.

Outside clinical practice, Lynne was the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s (APA) Animal Group National Chair from 2020-2023, working on advocacy within this area of the profession. After her chair role concluded, Lynne continued to remain on APA committees, working closely with the association and the Animal national group. In addition, Lynne is also a founding member of the Australia & New Zealand Animal/Veterinary Physiotherapy Association (ANZAVPA). Lynne is also a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and the Association of Animal Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) in the UK.  

 Lynne has presented at numerous conferences around the world, including ICEEP in 2018, the International Association of Veterinary Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy conference in Tennessee in 2018, the APA National Conference 2019 and 2025, and the Australia & New Zealand Animal/Veterinary Physiotherapy Association Symposium in 2022, and the Australia & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists 2023.

 Lynne is a PhD candidate at The University of Queensland, currently researching physiotherapy for horses with back pain at the School of Veterinary Science. She is also a published author of several international research publications.
